Qingxi Hospital

Qingxi Hospital was established in 1958 as a non-profit, publicly managed, tertiary comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, health preservation, rehabilitation, teaching, and scientific research. It is a designated medical institution for Dongguan Social Insurance, a Guangdong Provincial General Practitioner Training Base, a teaching hospital for higher medical institutions in Guangdong Province, a provincial occupational Health Screening facility, and holds a license for maternal and child health care services. Qingxi Hospital operates one main campus and two branch campuses—Kangfu TCM and Sanzhong. It comprises 23 clinical and technical departments. The entire complex spans 25,900 square meters with a total construction area of 48,700 square meters. The hospital employs over 900 staff members, including more than 700 healthcare professionals, maintaining a reasonably structured workforce. The approved bed capacity is 665, with 520 beds currently open. In recent years, the hospital has accelerated its development, strengthened management, and established comprehensive rules and regulations. Medical quality, technology, and service have continuously improved, resulting in the establishment of several specialized alliances. It has formed a 'military-civilian co-construction' partnership with the Southern Theater Command General Hospital; the respiratory department has built a tiered alliance with Sun Yat-sen Third Hospital above and town community health centers below; the general surgery department and fertility clinic have partnered with Sun Yat-sen Third Hospital; the ultrasound department has joined the South China Ultrasound Hospital Specialized Alliance under the Guangdong Provincial Clinical Medical Association. Progress continues in developing key and distinctive specialties and cultivating talent, with ongoing improvements in research and teaching capabilities. It collaborates with the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University on a medical, educational, and research enhancement program. It jointly runs a program with Gannan Health Vocational College, exploring a new model of talent cultivation based on 'industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation.' Performance evaluation systems continue to improve, patient satisfaction rises steadily, and achievements in hospital culture and spiritual civilization are evident, greatly expanding its social influence. The hospital has been recognized as a Model Civilized Unit and Civilized Unit in Dongguan, a Culturally Advanced Hospital in Dongguan, and has received honors including the Dongguan Youth Civilization Title for its pharmacy department, the Provincial Youth Civilization Title for its rehabilitation and TCM department, and the Provincial Women’s Civilization Post for its obstetrics and gynecology department.
