Guangzhou Yuexiu District Maternal and Child Health Hospital

Guangzhou Yuexiu District Maternal and Child Health Hospital was established in 1952. It is a second-class A maternal and child health hospital primarily serving women and children, focusing on health care with the goal of ensuring reproductive health. Integrating medical care with prevention, it serves the public, emphasizes grassroots outreach, and prioritizes prevention. The hospital combines medical treatment, health care, prevention, and rehabilitation. In December 2005, following administrative reorganization in Guangzhou, the former Yuexiu District Maternal and Child Health Hospital merged with the former Dongshan District Maternal and Child Health Hospital to form the new Yuexiu District Maternal and Child Health Hospital. The hospital currently has four practice locations: the main campus at Yuehua Road, the Dongshan branch, the Yuexiu District Free Pre-marital Examination Service Center, and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Care and Rehabilitation Department. Additionally, the hospital operates the Liuhua Subdistrict Community Health Service Center in Yuexiu District. The hospital currently employs 311 staff members, including 55 with senior titles and 76 with intermediate titles. It has 62 beds—25 for gynecology and 37 for obstetrics. Equipped with advanced medical devices such as three-dimensional Doppler color ultrasound machines, laparoscopes, hysteroscopes, color electronic colposcopes, fetal heart monitors, and fully automatic biochemical analyzers, the hospital offers specialized services through several distinctive outpatient clinics focused on health care, including high-risk pregnancy, infertility, reproductive endocrinology, integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine asthma treatment, traditional Chinese medicine health care and rehabilitation, menopause health care, adolescent health care, child psychological health care, and early childhood comprehensive development. The hospital boasts strong technical capabilities and is able to perform various gynecological and obstetrical procedures, including minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries, abdominal (vaginal) hysterectomy, myomectomy, endometriosis surgery, ectopic pregnancy surgery, cervical conization, modern cesarean delivery, painless childbirth, painless abortion, hymenoplasty, and vaginal tightening surgery. The hospital has also established a Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Care and Rehabilitation Department that integrates TCM constitution identification, TCM health care, medical aesthetics, rehabilitation therapy, and traditional treatments. Based on traditional Chinese medicine principles and the concept of "TCM preventing disease before it occurs," this department provides high-quality medical services tailored to the unique needs of women and children. In addition, the hospital offers a range of professional health checkups, psychological counseling, and preventive health services, welcoming public participation and inquiries.
