The First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University (also known as Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Hospital and the First Clinical Medical College of Jinan University) is a directly affiliated hospital of Jinan University—the "highest institution for overseas Chinese"—a national "Double First-Class" construction university jointly built by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, and Guangdong Province. The hospital is a comprehensive Grade-A tertiary hospital integrating medical care, teaching, research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation. It is one of Guangdong Province's key hospitals under high-level construction and ranks among the top ten comprehensive hospitals in South China (Fudan University South China Ranking). In the 2019 national performance evaluation of Grade-A tertiary public hospitals, it achieved the highest rating—Class A—in the no-annual-report comprehensive group, ranking second nationwide.
